I almost walked right into a group of four deer in the Sandia foothills a few weeks ago. For some reason, they weren’t very scared of me and let me take several photos. The sun went down and I stayed there, talking to them (thanking them for trusting me) — and they stayed there too, grazing and looking up at me every so often. This was the youngest of the group.
